ATCONTACT Teleport Services

ATCONTACT’s Sedalia Teleport is both Conus and Oconus and is staffed 24 x 7 by personnel trained in bringing up carriers onto a given satellite, operating a spectrum analyzer for signal identification, equipment fault identification and restoration of service.

ATCONTACTs staff include RF engineers, IT network specialists (CISCO trained) and trained operators who have been with ATCONTACT for at least 4 years working at our teleport.  Our computer monitoring of all RF and IP sub assemblies are equipped with audible (very loud) alarms to alert personnel of any trouble.  These audible alarms are immediate on RF issues and are currently set to 2 minutes on IP issues. In addition to the audible alarms all specialist are paged and immediately notified by the duty operator.

The ATCONTACT Ka / Ku and C Band teleport facility is located in a 3600 sq. ft. telephone company built control center.  Our point to point or point to multi-point transmission covers satellite longitudes from 37.5 degrees to 148 degrees west, enabling point to multipoint services that can be received by all North and South American locations and many in western Europe.

ATCONTACT provides uplink services for applications such as Cable Head End Delivery via Satellite, Domestic and International video/audio data and other point to multipoint distribution requirements. With a point to multi-point satellite system, data originates at one point and is delivered (backhauled) to the ATCONTACT Teleport using dedicated fiber-optic lines, satellite technology or microwave.  Content is then uplinked on our hub antennas to a satellite and subsequently broadcast from the satellite to receive sites.
